ParentLink
ParentLink allows the School District of Pickens County to communicate with all parents by telephone and email to provide timely information about emergencies, school closings, absences and school events.

Because the system uses contact information in our PowerSchool student database, we need your help. Make sure that your child's school has your correct contact information.  In the future, always notify the school as soon as any information changes.  The system will work only if parents help us keep contact information updated.

Thank you for supporting our district and our schools.  By working together, we are “building success beyond the classroom” for every student!

Parent Link Q&A

What is ParentLink?
ParentLink is a communication system that sends parents automated phone calls and emails with timely information from the school and the district.

What information will you receive?
  • Schedules of School Events and Meetings
  • School Closings Because of Inclement Weather
  • Student Absence Reports
  • Reminders about Report Cards
  • Emergency Notifications
  • Messages from Principals
  • Reminders of Any Kind

When will ParentLink call?
Messages from the school will always be delivered between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Only emergency messages will be sent at times outside of the normal call times.

How many times does ParentLink call?
ParentLink makes six attempts to deliver a message. If you have children in more than one school, ParentLink will deliver messages from all schools in one call.

How does ParentLink get parent contact information?
Contact information comes from PowerSchool, our student database. The system uses the parents’ home phone number. If parents live in separate homes and if both want to be contacted, each phone number must be listed in PowerSchool. Make sure the phone numbers in the Parent/Guardian information section of the Database Verification Form are correct. To be contacted by email, parents must make sure the school has their current email address(es).

How do you make sure ParentLink messages reach you?
Parents must keep their contact information current. They should always call the school and ask to update their information if it changes.

What if I didn't receive the entire message?
You can call 888-457-2130 or 888-457-2131 toll free to retrieve and listen to the ParentLink message. You will be asked to choose English or Spanish and to enter and verify your 10-digit phone number.
